“Wed at the Ripponlea”

A 1.5-year client project at Ripponlea Estate styled with refined simplicity. Deep red roses, golden accents, and vintage details created intimacy without overshadowing the venue’s grandeur. Thoughtful coordination and intentional design delivered a timeless celebration that balanced heritage beauty with understated romance, leaving a lasting, atmospheric impression.

  • This project began with a thoughtful discussion to uncover the couple’s vision - a romantic yet understated celebration that embraced the beauty of the historic Ripponlea Estate. The brief called for simplicity, elegance, and styling that complemented rather than overshadowed the grandeur of the estate itself.

  • Inspired by Ripponlea’s timeless architecture and lush gardens, I developed a concept rooted in refined simplicity. The design drew on deep red roses for a sense of romance, paired with golden accents and curated vintage details such as a birdcage, rotary phone, and mirrored drinks cart. These elements created a narrative of intimacy and charm, while ensuring the estate remained the hero of the setting.

  • With the couple’s feedback, the design was honed to its purest form, removing unnecessary excess and focusing on a few, striking focal points. On the day, lush baskets of roses framed a corner of the room, a custom “To Be Loved Is To Be Given” sign set a poetic tone, and crystal glassware with elegant paper menus elevated the reception tablescape. Each element was placed with intention, designed to enhance the estate’s character rather than compete with it.

  • The outcome was a wedding that felt effortless yet deeply atmospheric. By prioritising simplicity and allowing Ripponlea Estate’s beauty to shine, we achieved an elegant balance between heritage grandeur and romantic intimacy - creating a celebration that was both timeless and unforgettable.
